The cables end in a little box that sits on top of the carburetor. I can’t figure out how to get the carb all the way off the bike. I thought I would disconnect the box that the two throttle cables terminate in, but I took out the one screw I could find and it still won’t come off. I also tried opening up the box hoping I would be able to slip the ends of the throttle cables out of their retainers but no luck there either. Anyo... Picked this thing up used about a year ago. Just getting around to it. When I fist got it I threw a new battery in to see what it would do. No start no click. Took starter off. Hooked it up to alternative source. Starter works. Put starter back on the bike. Started it with battery source and cables. By passing bike wiring. Changed out the solenoid with a used one from a yamaha breeze. Turn key on and off. I also removed the choke plunger mechanism and gave that a few shots of penetrating lube oil. The choke mechanism works much smoother as a result.
